SPEEDING TICKETS/CDL VIOLATIONS

The typical response when one gets a speeding ticket is, “well, its just a speeding ticket, I will just pay it.”  The problem is the way the penalties are structured in Massachusetts, a responsible finding on a speeding ticket can cost upwards of two thousand dollars depending on the county you reside. Therefore, it is important to keep your driving history as clean as possible.  I utilize various techniques to minimize your chance of being found responsible. My technich has helped hundreds of people walk out of the clerk magistrate hearing with a smile. Building up a relationship with the police liaison officers and troopers as well as each individual clerk magistrate enable me to obtain the best result possible for my client’s.

The police department that wrote the ticket sends a single police officer to litigate all of the tickets from that department at the clerk magistrate hearing. Remember you have 20 days to sign and send back the ticket in the envelope with the $25 fee.  I try and conference the case with the officer and the magistrate. I then if helpful present your driving history to them and informally discuss the case and the surrounding circumstances of the stop. Once at the clerks hearing I can often argue successfully even if the trooper used Lidar (Laser) to initiate the stop.
